Our annual one day retreat

At Axance, the design team has started the initiative ID Farm to grow innovation spirit last year to refine our skills. We learn by doing. Yes, that is the fundamental of Design Thinking.

We bootstrapped with the core passionate team of 6 people who have tackled the subject of Data Visualisation as well as creating “Eco” website, last year. Designers learned processing and the art of doing the data visualizations. I took part in BotsCamp 2016 as a speaker on Artificial Intelligence and Design Considerations, and intervene at our DesignTech Talk.

We bootstrapped with the core passionate team of 6 people who have tackled the subject of Data Visualisation as well as creating “Eco” website, last year. Designers learned processing and the art of doing the data visualization. I learned Supervised Machine Learning, prototyped vison or audio based recognition apps using wikinator and arduino. To do publicity on our capability, I took part in BotsCamp 2016 as a speaker on Artificial Intelligence and Design Considerations, and intervene at our DesignTech Talk.

On the 12th July 2017, we opened this spirit to all design team and user research team by doing ideation workshop for internal projects that are valued by the whole team.

What matters for ID Farm is Circular Economy and Calm Technology. That was the framework for coming up with ideas they would like to work.

We have asked Google Deep Dream, what would be the team image for this initiative. Nebulous? We are cleaning up the ideas to do a project now. I will report more on this later…
